Getting Started

Active Media Explorer (AME) simplifies media archive access and management. It's a simple interface for indexing, searching, viewing and restoring content. Based on Active Circle technology, AME benefits from the various advantages of the solution's long-term file storage, reduced storage costs, and simplified infrastructure.

Logging in to AME

Using your browser, log in at the following server address: http://adresse_IP

The default username is: admin / 1234.

Once logged in, you will be taken directly to the AME home page:

Searching for a media device

To search for a media device, enter one or more keywords in the simple search in the top right corner of your screen. You can choose the type of media device to include in order to restrict your search as needed.

The AME will display the matching results:

Viewing a media device

To view a media device, simply click on it. A window then opens and displays all of the information relating to the media device, namely technical metadata but also information that you have previously entered.

Editing metadata for a media device

The editing of media device metadata requires that one has the proper editing rights, which are configured by user group.

If you have this right, edit the metadata by clicking on the "Edit" button to the right of the preview, in the media device viewing page.

Sending to a media device

AME enables you to "Send to..." media devices, i.e. to restore to a remote FTP server.

To do so, re-add the media device(s) to the selection by clicking on the appropriate button. Then choose "Send to..." in the tools. Finally, select a destination, the resolution and source, and launch the transfer.
